Michael Harms

Instructor

Michael has taught Voice and Text, Mask, Clown and Acting for more than 20 years. His diverse directing credits include Ionesco, Shakespeare, Aristophanes and the complete works of Gilbert and Sullivan. As an actor he has played Hamlet, Richard III and, more recently, roles in Murder Mysteries and Farces. As a singer he has performed in Operas, Operettas, Musical Theatre and Cabaret performances. Major influences on his teaching include Canada’s premiere Voice teacher, David Smukler and Mask and Clown innovator, Richard Pochinko. Michael holds a BFA in Film Production and an MFA in Theatre Performance from York University.
