Janet MacLean is a writer and producer of television drama who has earned over a hundred credits in Canada and the United States. She was Executive Producer and Writer for the CBC series Cracked, as well as Co-Creator and Showrunner of the acclaimed CBC series The Border, for which she received two Gemini nominations. Before The Border, MacLean wrote the three Murdoch Mystery Movies that kicked off the long-running dramatic series, which earned her Writers Guild Award and Gemini nominations. Other television work includes the Joanne Kilbourn Mysteries for CTV, and multiple episodes of such iconic series as Road to Avonlea, Emily of New Moon, and Eerie, Indiana.
